We know this this is an uncertain and unprecedented time in our history. The COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact on a global scale. The Governor of Michigan has issued a “Stay at Home” order for the State of Michigan, effective 12:00 am on March 24th, 2020. The order calls on all Michigan residents to shelter at home and all businesses to evaluate the necessity of their operation. Businesses must balance the critical nature of their work against the public health benefits of temporarily suspending operations. The unique nature of American Beauty soldering equipment has made our tools an essential component in a wide variety of critical manufacturing operations, in the support of commercial facilities, communications, national defense, energy and many other critical infrastructure partners. It is with this knowledge and understanding, that we believe we qualify as an “Essential Critical Infrastructure Workforce” according to guidelines issues by the Department of Homeland Security.
In response to this order, Assembly Technologies International, Inc (dba. American Beauty Tools) has reduced our staff significantly to ensure the safety of our employees and support the fight against this infectious disease. All non-essential employees and/or positions who can work remotely, have been instructed to stay away from work. Our technical support and customer service teams are working remotely during this time therefore we appreciate your patience as we endeavor to maintain our usual high level of customer support. We have instituted new rigorous cleaning and disinfecting regiments and various policies that encourage social distancing. As it relates to any orders you have or may be placing, you can expect to see extended lead-times as we attempt to balance "Essential Critical" companies/orders with these new operating conditions.
