A line of solder pots designed specifically for use with most lead-free solder alloys used for dip soldering and pre-tinning applications is available at American Beauty Soldering Tools of Clawson, Michigan.
American Beauty Industrial Solder Pots for use with RoHS compliant lead-free solders feature gray cast iron crucibles that are highly resistive to the solvent powers of tin. Ideally suited for dip soldering and pre-tinning applications, the operating temperature of these pots should be 100-150°F above the liquid temperature of the solder alloy and if kept below 800°F will be unaffected by the higher levels of tin found in lead-free solders.
Chemically stable to help keep the solder pure, American Beauty Industrial Solder Pots for use with RoHS compliant lead-free solders are offered in two sizes: 1- and 2.5 lbs. capacities (320- and 600 Watts, respectively). Both operate over a 350-850°F range and require 110/120 VAC 50/60Hz. Options include 220/240 VAC power and a stainless steel dross skimmer assembly.
