I've gotta say that I’ve owned my American Beauty 100 watt heavy duty soldering iron for about a year now and it is without a doubt the best soldering I’ve ever used. I work for an electrical engineering firm in the UK and use it on a daily basis. It gets to temp, stays there consistently and is up to whatever task i ask of it. It really is a beast of a soldering iron with a build quality that is second to none. Even the stand it’s supplied with is of a much higher quality than others on the market.
I've had several soldering irons, from cheap Amazon stuff to the more expensive Weller and Hakko models, but my American Beauty beats all of them by a long shot. It’s built like a tank and I couldn’t be happier with it.
